Jax

Howdy!

My name is Jax and I’m ready to be your new best friend! I’m a 10 year-old Boxer and I love nothing more than to cuddle and hang out with other people and dogs.

I’m partially blind and a little hard of hearing, but don’t let that deter you. I get around well once I get used to the layout of my space. Give me a little time to explore, and I’ll be confidently moving around your house in no time.

My interests:

Sleep is important to me! I like to get my zzz’s in when I can, so you’ll often find me snoozing away in my doggy bed. I also enjoy gnawing on bones, gentle walks, and plenty of snuggles.

I would thrive in a laid-back environment as either an only-dog or with quiet canine siblings.

If you’re looking for a stocky, quiet old guy, I’m the perfect boy for you!

Jax is being fostered through Guilford County Animal Services. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. If you’d like to bring a current pet along for a meet-and-greet, make sure you bring current Rabies, Bordatella, and DHPP vaccination proof.

Sophie

Hi everyone, my name is Sophie!

I’ve suffered neglect over the past few years, and it took me a while to learn to trust again. However, Loving Pet Project has reminded me what kindness feels like. It’s amazing what love and a warm bed can do! The only thing I want now is to find a new family to call my own.

I’ve got a bright personality despite my hardships! I’ll greet you with plenty of tail wags every morning. I’m great on the leash, and I love to lounge with my people on the couch. I’m also comfortable with other dogs. I don’t play much, but I coexist peacefully. I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body, so you’ll never have to worry about my behavior with others.

I’m also house trained, so my transition into your home should be smooth. I’m adorable and endearing. You just need to get to know me!

Looking for a gentle, quiet girl to join your family? I’m the perfect senior pup for you!

Sophie is an 11-year-old mixed breed from Loving Pet Project NC. She is petite (only 12 lbs!) and low maintenance. She has a heart murmur that requires daily medication (this can be covered by her sponsorship), but she’s otherwise healthy. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Hewey

Hi, everybody!

My name is Hewey. I arrived at Red Dog Farm after being airlifted out of Asheville in 2024 following Hurricane Helene. I had several medical issues and underwent two major surgeries. The great news? I made an incredible recovery!  I may be an older guy, but I’m a loveable goofball once I get to know you!

I’m a wonderful playmate with other dogs and I'm gentle with puppies. I’ll make a wonderful addition to your family. I've shown remarkable resilience and I'm excited to start my new life with my forever family. I’m ready to be your best friend. I just need you to bring you home!

Hewey is a mixed breed, estimated at 8 years old. He is generally healthy aside from typical "old guy" ailments which are easily managed with daily meds and a prescription diet (these can be covered by his sponsorship!).
