Sadie
Hi there,
My name is Sadie and I am a kind and loving 13-year-old girl. I’ve spent my life as a committed companion, until my owner was recently moved to an assisted care facility. All I’m looking for is a cozy home and a loving person who can provide a soft place to land.
A little bit about me; I’m healthy overall, aside from mild arthritis, and I like to take it easy. While I enjoy short walks, my favorite activity is to lay quietly and enjoy a pat on the head and a scratch behind the ears. I get along with other dogs, but I prefer calm canine companions as I can be overwhelmed by young and active pups. I would also be happy as an only-dog.
I would make the perfect companion for someone looking for a relaxed, easy-going dog. Do you have room in your home and heart for an old girl like me?
Sadie is a rescue from Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary. She’s not currently on any medications and she’s been spayed and vaccinated. Due to her arthritis, she prefers minimal stairs, but gets around fine otherwise.

Megan
Do you like your senior dogs with a touch of sass? You’ve come to the right place!
Hi, friends! My name is Megan and I’m a charmingly naughty Golden Retriever mix and I’m here to prove that age is just a number. I’m a high energy and kind-hearted 10-years-young girl and I’m always up for a quick walk or play session. I love a good adventure, and I get along with most dogs.
I’ve got a couple of bad habits (hey, nobody’s perfect!) but you can teach this old dog new tricks. My foster mom says I’m a fast learner and eager to please. I’ve already learned to sit, come, and walk politely on a leash. I love my crate, and I sleep soundly through the night so everyone in the house can get their beauty sleep.
Are you looking for a fun-loving companion who’s happy to join you for a walk in the park or a snooze on the couch? I’m the girl for you!
Megan is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever Mix from Triad Golden Retriever Rescue. She’s currently working through some behavioral issues including chewing and “taking herself for walks.” However, she’s clever and good-natured and will make a wonderful playmate. Megan will thrive in an accommodating family with a fenced-in yard.
Due to an influx of new fosters, Triad Golden Retriever Rescue is not accepting new adoption applications from the public at this time. HOWEVER, you are interested in adopting Megan, please reach out to clewis@vintagefur.org and we can send you a personal application link!

Hewey
Hi, everybody!
My name is Hewey. I arrived at Red Dog Farm after being airlifted out of Asheville in 2024 following Hurricane Helene. I had several medical issues and underwent two major surgeries. The great news? I made an incredible recovery! I may be an older guy, but I’m a loveable goofball once I get to know you!
I’m a wonderful playmate with other dogs and I'm gentle with puppies. I’ll make a wonderful addition to your family. I've shown remarkable resilience and I'm excited to start my new life with my forever family. I’m ready to be your best friend. I just need you to bring you home!
Hewey is a mixed breed, estimated at 8 years old. He is generally healthy aside from typical "old guy" ailments which are easily managed with daily meds and a prescription diet (these can be covered by his sponsorship!).
